Amber, foxy colour, clear. Nice white head. Nose is weedy, as fresh nettles, vines - and hopplant maybe, certainly not what we're used to recognise as hoppy. Taste is rather malty at first (coloured, ambrée malts); but not sweet. Quite bitter and metallic palate and finish. Malt gives good body; a bit spritzy. Aftertaste is bitter - resembling hoppy, different in some weedy way. Long bitterness. Nice 'experiment', succeeded in many ways, but two questions remain. WHY the clear glass bottles, and WHY no bottle-conditioning?
