Machete is an eye-catching Double IPA with an overwhelming but balanced aromatic explosion. Hops emerge in a decisive, powerful and imperious way, triumphing over everything and giving beer hints of grapefruit and tropical fruit.

2013-01-24, bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver, 7-4-7-4-14=36
bb 12-2012, batch L 313 11
Hazy light amber color with small creamy head. Nice aroma, mild, with some malt and fuity hops; light chamomile. The mouthfeel is smooth; it’s also quite lean in the category; the malt flavor is mild and sweetish; there is a strange impression of herbal tea, chamomile and verveine; correct bitterness, with some bitter oranges.
Quite good, but a bit strange too, and not very fresh.
2012-04-10, bottle at Birratrovo, Como, 7-5-8-5-16=41
Cloudy amber color, with compact head. Beer with bold fruity character, very good malt flavor, minimal sweetness, therefore pleasant and not cloying; bold but not oppressive bitterness.
One of the most drinkable DIPAs in a long time.

330 ml bottle @ Både &. Slightly unclear golden body with a firm off-whiter head. A bit modest aroma of citric fruit, mild caramel malt and slightly spicy. Flavor is not particular biter for a DIPA, but well-made and well balanced with a fine combination of not too sweet malt and not too bitter hops. Fine body and average aftertaste. This is more like a regular IPA than DIPA.

Bottled 330ml. -from Losfuso Torino. Darker golden coloured, big white head, mild alcoholic nose. Moderate malty, caramel, grapefruity hoppy and pretty evident alcohol presence. Dry hoppy finish. Decent Italian DIPA.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, citrus fruits, and a bit of over ripe fruit, leading to a bitter finish.

Draugt at Ottakringer Braukulturwochen, Vienna.
Orange-amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, orange, peach, some passion fruit, pine, sugar, biscuit.
Tastes of grapefruit, orange, peach, pine, grass, some tropical fruits, biscuit.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, piney, zesty, a bit herbal, also sweet malty, slightly alcoholic.
Nice one. Nothing oustanding overall, but hoppy and fresh, with a good bitter bite and a nice dryness. Drinks quite easy for the ABV.

Deep golden color with a fine white head. Nice lacing. Grapefruit hoppy, tropical and toffee in the aroma. Medium + body and a soft carbonation. Tad sweet and fine bitterness. Grapefruit hoppy, pine, mild resinous and tropical flavor. Almost sessionable….dangerous.
