Bottle: Poured a dark black/brown with a tan color head. The aroma was sour metal and spice smelling. Sour first flavor but shifted to a nice sweet malt finish.

Bottled. Vast amounts of floaties swirl around in this hazy, dark orange beer, topped of by a lasting off-white head. Dried fruits, berries, malt, spice, caramel and some alcohol in the nose. Flavor starts fruity, followed by raisins, candisugar, caramel spice, and the expected alcohol. The alcohol gets even more pronounced in the finish, and is accomplished by spices and some hints of yeast. A nice finish on a warm summer night! (060615)

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden with huge amount of floating impurities that never really settle. A reddish tint to it and a big, fluffy head. Rather full-bodied and very sweet, but apparently no sugars added - this is "volmout" - all malt. Strange but very pleasant. 310198

Bottle Pours a hazy red-brown body, with a light browny, creamy head, whch is mostly lasting. Fair lace. Nose of carame, apples, sirupe de liège, even like faro. The flavour is quite odd too, the initial flavour astoningly resembles faro too (except for the alochol percentage). Moderately sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Moderately bitter finish.

Cloudy amber color, quite dark; big creamy head. Nice malty aroma, a touch of oranges and vanilla. Quite good malty body (maybe too dry and thin), with a chocolate and orange touch. Quite good, but too thin body.

Dark chestnut colour, clear; light greige head, irregular. Sweet chocolate-and-fondant (confectionnary sugar) smell. Touch of diacetyl. Malty aroma's as well. Almondy, rich malts, orange peel(just enough to give fruity impressions) in the taste. Fuselalcohols and and many fruity esters. Well-bodied, alcohol-burn. This is the Proef at its best. Despite the slight diacetyl impression, the beer is technically perfect - but at the same time interesting and satisfying.

Bottled. Orange-red, very livley. Fruity and very sweet. Soft, yeasty and lightly orangey.

Cloudy ruby red color, creamy lasting head. Smells like incense (wierook in dutch). Malty and yeasty taset. Bitter palate, bit alcoholic.
