On Tap Black pour Thick dense tan head and lacing. Lots of dark fairly sweet roast aromas and flavors. Plenty of residual sweetness, almost sticky. Modestly hopped and moderately bitter. I get a touch of espresso and maybe the cacao. Very good over all.

Tap at SF Beer Week Opening Gala. Pours black, beige foam. Aroma: Dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, lightly burnt. Medium to heavy body, good balance between both good sweetness and bitterness, balanced, not overpowered. Beautiful. Good.

On nitro tap at The Cooler. It pours dark brown with a thick light brown nitro head. The aroma has huge notes of sweet coffee and cream. Coffee ice cream. The flavor is similar with major coffee ice cream and some chocolate fudge. Just a hint of roast and bitterness in the finish. Very creamy body. Delish.

Bottled@SBWF2015. Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is espresso with some mild toasted and liquorice notes. Flavour is coffee, roasted malts, toffeeish and toasted notes as well as some liquorice and alcohol. Quite much a coffee bomb.

Keg at SBWF. Very black, small head. Huge espresso aroma with black pepper. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Solid caramelly body packed with coffee. Some milk chocolate soothes in the finish.

Sample at SBWF 2015. Black with a tan head. A lot of coffee in the aroma, espresso, caramel and some hints of vanilla. Similar taste, although with more malt. The body was full and the finish long. A solid one.
