[2/1/16] Bottle at Yonatan’s place in Oakland. Clear golden. Grassy hops aroma with some grainy malt. Flavor has some sweetish grainy malt, and nice bitter grassy hops. Rather light-bodied. A decent Pils.

On tap in The Crow Bar, Orange County on 11th July 2014, I had no idea it had an Austrian heritage when I ordered it, I just wanted a Pilsner to quench my thirst and cool me down. It did both. Nothing special about it, just a refreshing beer with no real flavour or depth, in fact a typical Pilsner in all aspects, golden with a white crown, very little aroma or taste.

Draught; sample from Trumer Berkeley Brewery, CA Pale gold, with a small white head. Leafy, slightly grassy nose, with loads of pale malts. Extremely malty taste, typical pale malts, and just a touch of good EU hops in the finish. Bit of diacetyl all the same. Lightly, bit fizzy. More than decent Pilsener, and no doubt a true rendering of the original.
