Stingy Jack is our Spiced Pumpkin Ale, perfect for these Autumnal nights closing in and the coming of Halloween and Thanksgiving. We used a load of spices at the end of the boil as well as roast pumpkins glazed in maple syrup.

The label is designed by our Art Director Nick Dwyer and shows a drunk old Stingy leaning up a wall outside his local pub with the Devil hanging off his back.

Stingy Jack is now out in 330ml bottle and 30 litre kegs.

Amber-copper color with tan head. Aroma is pumpkin, spices, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon. Taste is very spicy (same spices as in the aroma), with a good amount of pumpkin. On the better side of pumpkin ale. I like!

14.11.2015, tap @ Warpigs:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet spiced, caramel malts, weeds, cloves, ginger, cardamom, grass, minerals, nuts, toffee. Taste is slightly dry spiced, weeds, minerals, grass, caramel malts, bark, cardamom, cloves, nuts, toffee, ginger. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Kind of boring.

330 (?) draft glass @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Dark brown, solid creamy beige head. Nose is sweet yams & canned pumpkin pie filling, lots of cloves, heavy with some cinnamon, brown sugar & brown pancake sugar. Taste is lightly metallic, canned pumpkin pie filling, huge cloves, butter squash pumpkin, touch of yeast & good amount of bread, light iron finish, more spices. Body is a bit metallic, slick. Unfortunate about the slight metallic note, I would have preferred this one personally to be even more pie forward (many will likely disagree). Nice beer but I feel like it could have been even better for me (we are talking about strictly personal preferences here).

Tap at Beer Hunters. Hazy amber color, small white head, lace. Clove, cinnamon spicey aroma. Medium-bodied. Pumpkin pie spices dominate the flavor. Some malty sweetness. Basic beer under the spices is difficult to trace.

(Keg at OlutExpo 2015) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was quite large and white with light brown shading. Aroma had spices, malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A spice bomb but not the worst kind.
