Stingy Jack is our Spiced Pumpkin Ale, perfect for these Autumnal nights closing in and the coming of Halloween and Thanksgiving. We used a load of spices at the end of the boil as well as roast pumpkins glazed in maple syrup.
The label is designed by our Art Director Nick Dwyer and shows a drunk old Stingy leaning up a wall outside his local pub with the Devil hanging off his back.
Stingy Jack is now out in 330ml bottle and 30 litre kegs.

Can. Nose is cloves, nutmeg, vegetation, lots of ginger and spice. It’s overpowering and a little unpleasent. Taste is malt and spice, with a hint of pumpkin, lots of cinnamon, straw, ginger. It’s a slightly hideous spice bomb. I assumed Beavertown could avoid the pumpkin beer car crash. They couldn’t. It’s disgusting.

Tap at Duke’s. Dark smoky amber. Heady aroma of cinnamon and cedar. The taste is sweet and spicy, with a peppery hop bite. Rounds off with a gloriously long bittersweet finish. Restores my faith in spice beers.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Aroma really spicy, cinammon, badyan. Overall quite good. Hazy reddish amber colour. Taste goes in the established direction. Nicely drinkable however, very good beer.

19/XI/14 - tap @ Stormbird (London) - BB: n/a (2014-1353)
Clear deep orange to amber beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of cloves, gingerbread, cooked pumpkin. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty spicy, lots of cloves, cooked vegetables, bit sweet, some banana peel. Aftertaste: spicy, nice bitterness, more spicy, ginger, caramel, banana. Bit over spiced, and the vegetable flavour is not very appealing either.
