Stingy Jack is our Spiced Pumpkin Ale, perfect for these Autumnal nights closing in and the coming of Halloween and Thanksgiving. We used a load of spices at the end of the boil as well as roast pumpkins glazed in maple syrup.

The label is designed by our Art Director Nick Dwyer and shows a drunk old Stingy leaning up a wall outside his local pub with the Devil hanging off his back.

Stingy Jack is now out in 330ml bottle and 30 litre kegs.

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a small, off-white head. It’s rather spiced on the nose, with ginger, cardamom and cloves, some fruityness and herbal hints. Caramel maltyness both in the aroma and flavor. Semi-sweet on the palate, with spices and some fruityness. Full body and pleasant carbonation. Spiced, caramel-malty finish. A quite decent pumpkin ale, but it’s not my preferred kind of beer anyway. 140816

Hazy amber beer, tidy off white head. Palate is light and dry.and crispy. Fair bit of lactose here. Good pumpkin tempered by a very well judged amount of spice, that would be a light toich then! Comes together well in to a juicy pumpkin beer with a semi dry finish.

Bottle at worldbeertaste’s temporary leaving The Hague tasting. Supplied by Cotteridge Wines. Poured a clear medium amber with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is unsurprisingly big pumpkin. The flavour is light bitter veggie pumpkin with an alcoholic hop combo bitter spice palate and a short pumpkin bitter finish. It’s all about the pumpkins. I don’t like pumpkins but this wasn’t so bad at all.
