Stingy Jack is our Spiced Pumpkin Ale, perfect for these Autumnal nights closing in and the coming of Halloween and Thanksgiving. We used a load of spices at the end of the boil as well as roast pumpkins glazed in maple syrup.
The label is designed by our Art Director Nick Dwyer and shows a drunk old Stingy leaning up a wall outside his local pub with the Devil hanging off his back.
Stingy Jack is now out in 330ml bottle and 30 litre kegs.

Keg at Euston Tap, London. An orange/amber coloured pour with a thin off white head on top. Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, spice. Taste is similar, pumpkin, spice and slight cinnamon. Nice complexity, probably the best British pumpkin beer that Iโve had.

330ml bottle from Borough Wines. Brings back fond memories of the obscure pumpkin beer I had at a beer festival last week, except this has a much bolder flavour, spicy with nutmeg, ginger and pumpkin all coming to the fore. Has a sweetness that really pushes through and becomes a little sickly sweet at times.

Keg at the Euston tap. Aroma is spicy rye malt, nutty, slight raspberry. Vibrant hazed orange and red pour with a thin fine white head. Flavour is delicate, pumpkin nutmeg, Belgian yeast phenol character. Some hedgerow berry. This is one of the few few pumpkin beers that I could drink a pint of.

330ml bottle. Was going to have an impy stout, forgot I had this. Daresay itโs appropriate for this evening. Pours dark gold with a small head. Aroma is Christmas cake spice and a touch of spice. Not too heavy like spiced Christmas beers. Taste is mostly Christmas spice, with nutmeg. Cinnamon on the finish and aftertaste. Low carbonation but a good mouthfeel. For the record, I also enjoyed the kvass.

Keg at Hanging Bat. Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Big cinnamon aromas, with a faint roasted note behind, and caramel. Heavy-hitting cinnamon on the taste, but with a lot of other things going on behind, vegetal, toasty, earthy. Light on actual pumpkin, which is a blessing in my (limited) pumpkin beer experience. Enjoyed it, but pretty full-on.

Bottle from Mr Lawrence. It pours cloudy orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is earthy, pumpkin, spice, tangy HP sauce and light vinegar. The taste is pumpkin, sweet squash, earthy, maple syrup, toast, wood, nutmeg and clove rock with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A touch vinegary on the nose, but tastes rather nice.
