Bottle from M&S. Pale amber with moderate carbonation and a short-lived but decent, off-white head. Grassy and floral hop aroma followed by some sweet malt flavour. Finish was dry with a touch of hoppiness. Drinkable.

[i] Bottle from Marks and Sparks, 22-09-07 [/i] Pours warm golden with white head. Very little aroma to speak of, a bit sweet malt maybe. Tasted too sweet, nice enough but the sweetness was to the detriment of all else, lacking in really decent hoppiness.

Bottled. (As Marks&Spencer IPA) Clear, golden beer, with a small off-white head. Sweet and malty aroma with some pine and citrus. The flavor starts malty, then some hops come visiting. Medium body and a hoppy finish. (060710)

(Bottle 50 cl) Orangey close to copper in colour with some impurities (not very well protected in the clear glass bottle) Pronounced malty notes but very low in hoppiness. The brewery claims this is an IPA but if thatโs the case itโs really in the soft end of the spectre. Sโpose itโs fair enough to label it an ESB. 061103
