500ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a medium head. Aroma is floral, buttery hops. Taste is some smooth malt to start and a slightly floral bitter finish. Bland and boring.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Dror. As Marks & Spencer Staffordshire IPA. Slightly hazy golden. Aroma of malt, graininess, light honey-ish hints and notes of earthy hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, light bready notes, fruity hints and a finish with mild British hops bitterness. Medium-bodied. Easy-drinking.

At a tasting, as Marks& Spencer IPA, thanks Dror, smallish head, golden colour with lightish orange streaks, malty and honey aroma with some hay, flavour of malt, vanila and barnyard, with a strong coarse bitterness. Dissapointing.

Bottle 500ml.[ As Marks & Spencer Staffordshire IPA ].Clear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, sour malt, light caramel, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average to long duration, acrid - plastic bitter, artificial. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091230]

500ml bottle as Marks & Spencer Staffordshire IPA, Attractive amber colour with lasting thickish off white head. Good hops on aroma, but is there some pasteurisation on the malts?? Not the usual boiled sweet malt in mouth, so maybe this is chill filtered? Hops are excellent though, reminds me of Marstonโs Old Empire IPA. Good English hops. Just a little empty on the finish, which makes me think it is pasteurised.

500ml bottle of Marks & Spencer India Pale Ale. Gold with a loose cream head; fresh citrus and hop aroma; smooth with a full fresh citrus flavour and some honey sweetness; then a powerful bitter punch leading to a long warming citrus finish. Very drinkable and moreish.

Bottle 0,5l as Marks & Spencer India Pale Ale. Slightly hazy. Pale golden colored. A creamy head that settled after a while. A well crafted IPA in the modest English style: Citrus in the nose. Short fruity flavor followed by a distinct bitter aftertaste that lasts. Well balanced.
