Bottle. Pours unclear amber. Aroma is Belgian candy, phenols, vegetables. Body is heavy and really bitter, phenolic, softly booze, chalky, candy. More Belgian than an IIPA. Quite good.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 01/2018, from Biertempel Linz, 20170714) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was large and white. Aroma had fruitiness, pineapple and citricness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, peach, pineapple, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice fruity brew with balanced bitterness. Alcohol was well hidden.

Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is banana, yeasts, some toast, honey. Taste is banana with some bitter yeasts. Heavy but smooth and drinkable. Mealy stuff on the tongue. Ok. Without the bottle, which definitely says Imperial IPA, I would have thought, that this is the Weizenbock.

Bottle from BeerLovers, Vienna. Pours hazy, orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is more malts and hops than fruits. Taste is malts, hops, light fruits (citrus and grapefruit, but no other classic fruit aromas in my opinion) and a light to medium bitterness with a dry finish. I tried three of the new beers - No.2, No.3 and No.4 - and the Imperial IPA seems to be the best.

330 ml bottle from BeerLovers Wien, bb 09/2016.
Amber, hazy body, with a big, stable, creamy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, passion fruit, mango, peach, grass, earth, biscuit, some vanilla, some alcohol.
Tastes of grapefruit, citrus, biscuit, earth, some grass, some tropical fruits.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, zesty, earthy, grassy, a bit malty, a bit alcohol warming.
Really nice. Very fruity and quite sweet nose, while the taste is more bitter, with some interesting earthy notes. Alcohol is noticeable, but doesn’t drink too heavy. Overall not outstanding maybe and not among my favourite style examples from Austria, but enjoyable nonetheless.
