Bottle. A clear, dark amber colored beer with a small, dense, off-white to light beige colored head. The aroma has some sugar, some peaches and tea and a good dash of dried fruits. Some yeast and cellar hints. The flavor is quite sweet, but dries up towards the finish. Tea, cellar, peaches and some dried fruit, as well as a decent bitterness. Medium to full body and a nice carbonation level. Quite decent this, but a tad weak all the way, especially in the aroma. 141024

Bottle from Lekker Bier as a nameless Veluwse Schavuyt, green label mentioning anno 2010 in the spot where the other labels have blond or tripel, BB Nov 14, large sample, served in a tulip glass. Clear amber color, short frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, quite spicy yeast, bit floral. Quite sweet taste, coca-cola. Bit nasty bitter spicy aftertaste, too sweet on the palate. Medium to high carbonation, medium sweet body. Not even that bad actually, but just totally not my style.

Bottle @ home. Clear autumnal reddish color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, sweet, lightly iron, a hint of leaves. Average body, soft carbonation. Not very good. Don’t really like it.Earlier Rating: 6/30/2011 Total Score: 1.6At the beershop where I bought it in Apeldoorn the lady who was working there told me this beer was actually the only one really brewed in Apeldoorn in stead of at 3 Horne. So that’s something to figure out maybe. Anyway; color is a light amber, dark orange with a small white to beige head that disappears quite fast. Not a really nice smell: musty, yeast, malts, caramel, cereal, nuts, earthy, leaves. Oh my god the taste is even worse! Kind of mix of the smell with general sourness and sour milk! Not good at all. Medium body and medium carbonation. Little bit sticky texture. Overall: only the color is ok.
