0.33 bottle from Pivoljub, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Pitch black with ruby tint, strong beige head, leaving lacing. Blueberry yoghurt, tobacco, roast and soy sauce. Predominantly fruity, roasty background. Strong bitter kick, heavily hopped, develops a malty and roasty taste, quite sweet, with an aromatic finish. Heavy and serious. No joke, great IBLA.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21B - Black IPA). Bottle 33 cl - Batch B. AROMA: hop aroma predominant with a floral, resinous and mango aromas. very faint toasty notes with a toffee character. APPEARANCE: dark ambar color and almost translucent. style average ivory head with average retention. TASTE: a combination of hop flavours with mango and piny notes, and a smooth and faint roasted malt flavour (some toffee). High bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with style average carbonation. OVERALL: a nice black IPA more on the caramelly / toffee side than roasted malts.

Colour is like coca-cola: dark brown with red shades. Aroma is like IPA and stout mixed: passion fruit, mango and rucola from the former; caramel, coffee and chocolate from the latter. Taste is bitter and creamy, with a sweet starting note. Very nice.

bottle at home as part of European Local Swap from RW80, thanks Robert. almost black color, big tan head. big coffee liqueurish smell, malty sweetness, some dried fruits, malt candy. full body, soft carbonation, nice mouthfeel, roasty taste, some subtle fruit notes, grapefruit, mulberry, some hidden sweetness, some pine notes, also herbal. good piney bitter / herbal also slight malty sweet finish. finish overall more bitter roasty. gets better on subsequent sips. ABV is well hidden. quite good, finish a bit too herbal for me to get a better rating.
