(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy golden with a white head leaving some lacework. Spicy aroma with some yeast and fruit. Quite full-bodied with fruity notes, yeast and phenols. A bit raw. 020507

33cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers. Gold/orange with lasting beige head. Belgian yeast aroma, tangerine citrus too. Nice hop kick on the finish. Some tangerine/caramel. Pleasant.

Bottled. Hazy golden, small head. Strong aroma of ripe red apples. Sweet and fruit with evident yeast character. Rounded mouthfeel with some lively carbonation. Feels like a standard offereing from de Proef with no flaws, but also nothing to separate it from the mainstream Belgian ales. And at 8% I require more character from a beer.

Hazy golden color; creamy head. Delicate aroma, with some farm, and Belgian yeast; light honey. Ordinary malt flavor, a bit of hay and light Belgian yeast. Correct bitterness. Not impressive.

Cloudy golden color; generous creamy head. Quite original beer, a Belgian blond ale with a touch of herbs, giving a nicer aroma but not that impressive taste; light soap aroma. Residual sweetness, and some vegetables. Dry final with strong bitterness.

Slightly hazed, orange beer; fluffy off-white head. Very orangey/citrussey nose, bit of ...wheat? - something grainy, not like your usual malt. Alcoholic flavour, with alcoholic sweetnes, and still some traces of the citrus, but less markedly than the nose; oranges, figs, preserved fruit. SLick, alcoholwarming, well bodied, near chewy despite the thinnning cold it is served at. Nice beer. Bit stereotypic, but not without merits. The beer is currently brewed at De Proef, the brewery in Kuringen is only for trial brews, and training of aspiring-brewers. new trial Aug, 18 : Slightly oppressing nose, which, if one knows the ingredient, is easily identified as garlic. Much more pronounced as in the first bottle. Sweetish spicey taste, bit oily MF.
