The Haandbryggeriet version of Vuur & Vlam.
Fyr og Flamme is a dry hopped IPA in the US style with an exceptional aroma and hop flavours. We use a very special blend of 3 American hops that produce lots of hop flavours. We produce living beer, not pasteurised or filtered.

500 ml bottle @ Melkebaren, Sandnes. Hazy, deep amber body with a big, creamy off-white head. Nice and strong aroma of citric fruit, pine and some grass with caramel. Flavor is quite citric fruity, pine and bitter on and pleasant malt/caramel base. Fine body and a really long aftertaste with fruit and bitterness. High class IPA.

Dark gold / light orange color. In my opinion it differs from other ’Vuur&Vlammen’ mostly because the grapefruitsmell and -taste are completely hidden, I smell and taste more resin. It’s gotten rounder somehow, lost it’s sharp edges which in this case is not a good thing. Still a nice beer, but other versions are better I think.

Bottle. Slightly muddy amber with a light beige head. Aroma of apricots, flowers, pine, kumquats. Gently carbonated, slightly creamy. Feels alive. Sweetness is mainly of stone fruits, bitterness has pine and citrus with some white pepper right at the end. Some grapes and flowers. Nice balance. Fruitier and not as complex as the Vuur and Vlams I’ve had but in better condition.

Thank you OleR for this one - golden with white head - nice hoppy aroma - good malt body to balance the hop bitterness that is there, and the hop bitterness is distinct and good - long lingering hop bitterness - very good and tasty

On tap at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam on 18th March 2011. Clear amber with foam/film head and part lacing. Rich and fruity aroma, with rich fruitiness continuing in-mouth where it is met by spiciness and a lemony tang. Bitter sweet finish with tangy fruitiness. Zingy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.
