The Haandbryggeriet version of Vuur & Vlam.
Fyr og Flamme is a dry hopped IPA in the US style with an exceptional aroma and hop flavours. We use a very special blend of 3 American hops that produce lots of hop flavours. We produce living beer, not pasteurised or filtered.

Aroma is rather nice with hops, lots of exotic fruits and some resin. Flavour is hoppy with resin, exotic fruits, some caramel and hints of pine needles. Very nice hop profile here.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks KnutAlbert for this bottle! Hazy copper-amber with an off-white head. Aroma of flowers, citrus and some tropical fruits. Flavor has a bit of sweetish malt and a nice fruity and floral hops with a bitter and slightly grapefruity finish. Medium-bodied.

500 ml bottle kindly shared by Rune at Beer session XIX in Tromsø 220312. Hazy, dark orange body with a small lasting white head and some lacing. Commanding citrusy aroma with excellent punch and a smooth scent of fresh flowers. Flavour of tropical fruits that really tingle the taste-buds. Palate is suave and very pleasing to the mouth. Invigorating!

Bottle. Has a very hazy dull amber colour with nice medium beige head on top. In the fruity aroma I sence some cat piss, grapefruit and floral hops. The flavour also has a nice hop touch and is also fruity, along with some smoke. The proper malty body works very well with the hops, and it�s a bit dry in the end. A medium+ bitterness which lasts, and has a slick and soft mouth feel. This is a beer that has a lot of everything in every step with a fantastic balance and smooth bitterness.

Slow gusher. Hazy orange with a huge and lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - grapefruit and peach. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 160312

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Sentrum. Aprikosfarget. Høyt kremaktig skum som varer. Deilig sitrusaroma. Balansert fruktig smak. Mye appelsin. Litt fersken. Syrlig bitter ettersmak. God! Mye sedimenter i siste kvelling. Dagens spørsmål: Hvorfor i h.... avsatte ikke bryggeriet dette utmerkede navnet til et røykøl???????? KI=7

33cl bottle from Alvinne beershop. Levure très active, col épais blanc, couleur orangée, laissant une mousse collante au verre. Arôme de pin, houblon avec un nez fruité tropical, et un malt en retrait. En bouche, profile malt léger, houblon finement amer, reste sèche avec une pointe d’épices, touche de caramel et malt pale. Houblon laisse une amertume moyenne dans les tons allemands.

31/10/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Dorata intensa, lievemente torbida, bella schiuma biancastra sporca, morbida, liquida, molto persistente. Aroma intenso di frutta, luppolo, con note agrumate abbastanza intense. In bocca è amara, agrumata, ben bilanciata, più secca rispetto alla Vuur & Vlam e anche meglio bilanciata. Forse però manca un po’ di corpo. Molto buona comunque.

Orange gold beer, cream head. Quite a gusher. Fruity aroma, nice hops profile, caramel, malts, apricot, pine and citrus. Sweet malt flavour, quite full body, caramel, hops. Dry bitter finish. Very drinkable, very nice despite it’s age.
