Poured from caged and corked 750ml(6 033 76?) a hazy dark brown with a huge off white head of foam that receded pretty quickly but left a solid layer with nice lacing.

The smell is of yeast, sweet malt, and a mix of fruit and spices. Nicely aromatic.

The taste at first is pretty sweet from the malt but then some fruity tones move in, mostly plum and some banana, as well as spiciness from cloves(mildly) and some pepper. There's also a yeast flavour there and some nice sour notes near and in the finish. Quite the tasty dubbel and pretty easy drinking...

Bottom line: A pretty darned good Dubbel that's not too hard on the wallet.(US$6.990 from Liquorama) I recommend it.

Bottle 33 cl. Amber, clear with a foamy offwhite hed. Hops and malt and caramel. Light bittersweet with A alc and malt end

Su color es tostado oscuro, tirando a marrón con destellos rojizos, muy bonito. La espuma es color vainilla, poco abundante y con retención media. En su aroma se aprecia caramelo y especias principalmente. Su sabor es dulce y a frutas tipo arándano, ciruela... dejando un buen gusto a especias como el clavo, con un toque licoroso. Una buena dubbel, bastante compleja para ser industrial.

Bottle at Het Paleis, Schiphol. Pours clear copper with little beige head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, some chocolate, some acetone and ethanol, some f fruity notes. Tastes sweet with a good dose of bitterness. Medium bodied, highly carbonated. Slightly bitter finish

From old tasting notes. Reddish brown color topped by a thick, bubbly beige head. Fruity malt aroma. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor with hints of sherry and Dr. Pepper. Zesty dry malty finish. Flavor improves as beer warms. Long, clingy sweet malt aftertaste.

Pours hazy amber/brown with a creamy beige head. The aroma contains malt, mocca, caramel, dark fruits and spices. It tastes medium sweet and medium bitter. Fruity onset, spicy finish, and a bit metallic. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation - too strong. Can’t shake the thought that it could have been better for an Abbey Dubbel.

6.8% alk. Ima lijepi miris po nekom bobičastom voću i bourbonu. Dobra je. Nije ni slatka kao što sam očekivao niti gorka. U okusu isto ima nečega bourbonastog ali tek toliko da se malo osjeti da ne preuzme okus. Odlična!

0.33 l bottle at Jiggy Bar, Zagreb. Clear amber, small creamy off-white head. Estery, apricot, light citrus, candy or some sugar. Light tart and dry, citrus dryness, light alcohol. Medium body, medium carbonation, harsh finish, moderate lasting. Warming. Not bad.
