Bottle 33cl.Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light toffee, moderate to heavy buttery, moderate hoppy, light alcohol . Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Quit a odd beer so i think i need to try it agian to see if there is something wrong with this bottle. [20090806]

30cl bottle; Hazy, murky amber colour with a thick light-beige foamy head. Sweet caramel-and cookie-malty aroma with fruity, slightly zesty and spicy hoppy notes. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid malty body with caramel/toffee, cough syrup and drying aroma hops. Sweet malty finish with a balancing, nearly dry bitterness and spicy and moderately fruity hops. Decent stuff. 14.IX.09

(Bottle, Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 3 Aug 2009) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, caramel, orange peel and a touch of pine needles. Malty, fruity taste with heavy notes of pine needles, resin, orange peel and bittersweet orange marmalade. Long bitter citrussy, piney finish backed up with a solid caramel malt foundation. Full body, fairly sweet. Excellent beer.

Bottle (at ChrisO, bottled 06/2009). Orange hazy color, good creamy off-white head. Very toffeish sweet aroma (diacetyl?). Quite sweet flavor, fruity, hoppy aftertaste. Very odd and not very good double IPA.

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is harsh malts and grains, cereals and some slight notes of bread. Flavour is sour wooden infection. Mild chocolateish notes as well. Probably not in tthe best possible condition.

Pours clean copper with an ok off-white head. Aromas of paler stone fruits and floral hop. Medium body with mild frothy carbonation. Flavor is a bit peach or apricot. Finishes lush and decently bitter. Rather floral.

Very good & thick amber-cream head, fed by lively carbonation in reddish amber beer. Cakey malts, dry malt and indeed very dried hops. As to Amarillo??? Hoppy, quite bitter flavour, but quite "noble" impression, and some good malts, but sweetness does not surface. Maybe some burnt cake- or pizzabottom. Dry, nearly dry-out effect, well-bodied, and slighlty creamy MF. Balance is quite OK, but I miss the citrus- or resinbite of a real USA IIPA. But I applaud the try - in KAMPERLAND, of all outback holes, by Jove!

Bottle. Orange brown color, cloudy. Pineapple and melon in the aroma. Full bodied. Oily hopbitter peppery flavor with ontbijtkoek (spiced Dutch breakfast cake) and melon. Notes of alcohol. Long oily hopbitter aftretaste. Well made DIPA, Emelisse didn’t forget the power, but went for balance.
