A clear orange brown beer with a white lacing. Aroma of strong caramelized malt, dried fruits, booze. Taste of sugary caramelized malt, nuts, molasses, boozy finish.

Small cream-coloured head, reasonably stable over opaque redbrown beer. Bit dusty nose, brown malts, fusels, soggy brown bread. Alcoholsweet, fusels, preserved fruit, liqueured oranges, dates, figs etc. Alcoholburn - if held in check - warming, full-bodied, viscous, almost chewy. Well carbonated. For such a young brewery - in an unlikely place at that - quite deserving. A perfect example of the nonsense of "beerstyles": the website speaks about barley wine, whilst the bottle mentions quadrupel...
