Microbirrificio Opperbacco in Notaresco (TE), Abruzzo, Italy 🇮🇹

  IPA - Belgian Regular
Score
7.05
ABV: 6.4% IBU: 43 Ticks: 56

Bottle, BB 09.17, L9216 (from SIP, looks more like rb:124464,but label doesn’t say it’s not regular so here it goes...). Pours golden-amber. Aroma is hoppy, floral, soapy, fruits, citrus. Belgian yeast. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruits, citrus, grapefruit, sugar, Belgian yeast. Finish is dry bitter. Overall: good enough.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Lior D’s place. Thanks Lior D. Clear golden. Aroma of yeast, fruity esters, some hops. Sweetish flavor with fruity esters, bitter hops, and alcohol. Medium-bodied.

Keg at Bir & Fud, Roma, 23/09/16. Golden orange with a decent off White head. Nose is candied fruits, orange peel, light yeast tones, faint hop bill, floral pinch. Taste comprises sweet malts, caramel, candied orange peel, perfume, candyfloss, faint spice. Medium + body, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol in the close. Solid for style, the hop interplay prevents this beer from becoming too sweet.

Bottle. Gold with a huge white head. High carbonation, still a little syrupy. Aroma of dough, grapefruit, oranges, apricots. Very sweet with oranges and sugary dough, grapefruit. Sharp bitter finish, but it’s not very dry. Powerfully flavoured but a bit wearing.
