On tap at What’s Brewing. An unclear, pinkish orange beer with a dense, finger-thick white head. The aroma has some weak pale ale, with a touch of malts and grassy, piney hops, and lots of raspberry. It’s dry and medium bodied with a nice carbonation level. Raspberry dominates the flavor too, some bitterness chiming in. Lasting finish. An easy drinkable beer, but also rather one dimensional and a tad boring. 141031

500ML bottle picked up in Chicago. a small haze golden red hue 1 finger big bubbly head. smells like tart berries, maybe grape or raspberry. Tart, wheat heavy, slick oily mouthfeel, should be in a sour wild category. certainly a sour candy flavor as well. nice overall.

Draft at Open Baladin, Rome. Pours hazy red brown with a small tan head. Aroma of tart red fruits, barnyard funk, wet dog, wood and musty cellar. Flavour is moderate acidic. Over medium bodied with light carbonation. Nice one!

Draft @ ML Fontainas, Italian Fest Sept ’14.

Liquid autumn color. Creamy head. Fairly tart nose with raspberries and other seed fruits. The mouth is med body with tons of fresh fruit noticeable and balances out the sourness a bit. Oak is also noticeable. Very well balanced. Easy drinkin, nothing hardcore, but pleasurable sour beer.

Thanks! Sampled draft @ Italian Beer Week-end / Zwanze 2014 CML. Bright light red orange, creamy pinkish white head. Huge slight lacto raspberry nose, lots of pits, tart is minor & touch overripe raspberry quality, light hay. Taste is tart juicy raspberry, light bitter grass, touch odd metallic note, taking this slightly down, tad malty, light tart fruits, faint yoghurt sour. Solid fruity body. Very nice.

Draught Pinkish, very dense & fine stable head over hazy pink-amber beer. Intense smell of fruity, Brettaxenic, wood, sulphur, barnyard, bit of leather. Sweetish, fruity (raspberry), hints at fruitsugars but ending very dry indeed. Again a bit of leather flavour. Lipsmacking sourness, dry, near dry-out effect, fruit-filled, quite attenuated. Excellent, not too preposterous raspberry ale.

Bottle from GBBF 2014 and drunk at home. Hazy orange pinky red with a thin collar of white pink bubbles. Bit of a fruit funky aroma. So I’m guessing there is some lambic in here. Proper Belgian funk with some rather pleasant fruit, what is that raspberry? Sharp fruit whatever it is. The funky manure aroma is lovely. Wow lovely beer. Body is a little thin maybe. A bit light in the body. Finish has got more raspberry and a little sourness and some funky manure. Probably more manurey that most Belgian framboise. Got better as I took the carbonation out of it and the fruit sweetened and soured up at the same time. Wow, so much better decanting from one glass to another. The fruit is sweet in the mouth and then sour really sour on the finish. That is lovely. Proper funky sweet sour fruity lambic. I melted as I drank it. Super funky. I can’t remember a more manure beer. Awesome.

Bottle - Funky citrus, yogurt and acidity.  Cloudy orange with a decent beige head.  Tart citrus with a nice bit of funk.  Decent.
