Refrigerated 12.7 oz. brown bottle poured into a white wine glass. Clear light amber with little off-white head. Aroma is tart, medium body, medium carbonation, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is tart, a little raspberry, and slightly bitter finish. Not bad, but expected more.

Bottle at GBBF 2013 - London. Pours clear, pinkish-red with a light, white cream head. Fresh berries on the nose with mild sweat. Light to medium sweet with mellow funk and juicy raspberry. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean finish, a bit funky, with faint bitter raspberry seeds. Very nice.

Draft at Rustico Alexandria. Poured an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma was some light, sweet and tart fruit notes, dark pitted fruits, some grape notes. Flavor was some light wine character, a little bit of tartness, not too sweet. Pretty easy to drink. Was hoping for a bit more tart funk, but not bad.

Draft at Rustico Alexandria, 4 ounce pour. Amber color with an off-white head, good lacing. Aromas of grapes, dark fruit, tart fruit. Tastes of tart fruit, dark fruit, raspberries, grapes, red wine, vinegar. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a bit hazy peach/ruby appearance with a thin off white head. Kind of spritzy, tart raspberry, a touch herbal, soda-like aroma. Fairly light bodied. Light to moderately tart, chewy raspberry, mild white grape, well carbonated, a touch sweet flavor. Just a bit of cheese and funk. Nothing too complex but also not all that hard to drink.

Aroma: The nose is fruity sweet and fruity tart, raspberry, some sour yeast, and malts
Appearance: It pours a clear ruby-orange color with a lot of fizz that dissipates down to no head
Flavor: The taste is light-mid sweet and mid-tart fruit with some sour/funky notes
Palate: The body is light-medium, it tingly feel, and a fairly lengthy, dry, tart finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: This is a pretty nice example of what a fruit beer can be. The tartness and sweetness of the fruit work nicely, and keep the beer from going too far in either direction. The yeast provides some additional balance to the beer. It is also pretty drinkable, despite a good amount of carbonation.
