Tap at Open Baladin, Roma, 23/06/13. Clear crimson with a white head that clears to the edge and leaves a swirl. Nose is bretts, tarte berry fruits, damp wood, subtle burnt notes. Taste comprises blackurrant, soured berry fruit, light sugar, woody notes, brett. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Ok stuff.

Bottle from Grassroots, Jax. It pours hazy pale red with a tiny white head. The nose is fresh strawberry, raspberry, fruit syrup, white sugar, jam and sour granny smith apple. The taste is smooth, tart, raspberry, cherry skin, lemon, Granny Smith apple, wood and mild acidity with a clean, dry finish. Medium busy ans fine carbonation. A very tasty sour fruit beer.

Pours amber with a quickly fading head.Nose shows raspberry, soft funk, light clean malt. Delectable.More raspberry as a flavour, along with a fair bit of acidity. Well balanced though with some light malt underneath.Could use more carbonation.

Draft @ The Trappist, Oakland, CA. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty slightly sour raspberry, cherry aroma. Fruity sour slightly tart berry and raspberry flavor. Has a fruity sour tart raspberry finish.

Draught at Bashamichi. Cloudy maroon-brown, lace. Huge tangy raspberry nose, yogurt, lactic. Tart, lactic flavor, a bit acetic, lots of fruity berries. Full body. Very tangy and not sweet. Good, approaching a real lambic framboise.

Bottle RB Århus tasting @ Christers. Pours slightly hazy orange with a small white ring of foam along the glassides. Aroma of rich fruit, berries, peach, plums, slightly tart, some sourness. Flavor is heavy and rich fruity, berries, peach, apricot, plum, light woodnotes, light sour. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, tart finish. Strange and heavily fruity beer, but quite nice. 270213

Whole Foods, Bowery 375ml ($5): Pours a reddish orange color with a white head. Aroma is raspberries, wine, and vinegar... smells straight up like a sour ale. Taste is rather sour. Raspberries are present, but much lighter than I expected that they would be. Sourness lingers. There is something almost woody in the aftertaste as well. ’Tis a pleasant ale.
