With Elliot, we tried to create a refreshing beer that’s dangerously drinkable while still maintaining that unxious mouthfeel that Struise is so renowned for. Being able to either quaffed or sipped, this is one of our most versatile multi-purpose beers.

Grapefruit red 2 finger creamy head The nose has a crisp hoppiness with a juiciness and spice. Taste is clean. Nice mouthfeel ginger, motor oil and an astringent medicine like bitterness. Difficult to finish

Shared with + thanks to AdamJackson & tderoeck! Sampled draft @ ‘t Schooltje. Dark amber, thick tanned head. Tad metallic nose, herbal & tad medicinal hops, reminiscent of ginseng. Bitter herbal hops taste, tad medicinal, ginseng, bitter herbs & thicker tad herbal malt. Touch malty body. Very unusual for the style but I quite dug it in its uniqueness. Nice & interesting brew.

Clear deep amber beer, big creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, exotic fruits, caramel, sweet malts, mango. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: wow! I'm used to quite a lot of bitterness, but this? WTH is this? Fruity as well, more bitterness, malty, hay, but not sweet, sourish touch. Aftertaste: very bitter, sticky, bit buttery, citrus, grassy. Not convinced about this R.A. version...

Cooperation with the much-revered Mikkeller (and label in the Mikkeller house style), in four versions; this rating concerns batch III (163 IBU). Also tasted under the name "Mikkeller". Very stable, regular, cream white head, colour a brownish amber, hazy with a ’fond’ of protein flakes. Excessively hoppy aroma, spicy, grapefruit, tonic water, orange peel, dried leaves, walnuts, cookies, caramel. Fresh citrussy onset, rounded nutty maltiness, rather light mouthfeel in relation to its strength, sodden in hops from beginning to end, aromatic, peppery, citrussy and grapefruit-like, eventually becoming even more bitter, almost to a medicinal level, sticky and very, very long. A treat for hopheads.

Draft @ Struise Schooltje.
