On tap at MBCC 2023,, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out intense roasted malt, bourbon barrels, and some dark sugars. Flavour is extremely sugary, with intense dark sugars, roasted malt, and bourbon barrels. Sugary but complex and a big bourbon, sugary finish.

(On tap @ Himmeriget, CPH, June 29/19) Pours very dark brown with a nice tan head. Intense body of layered toffee and molasses, booze-soaked dried berries and dates, lightly stewed dark fruit, lots of chocolate for a barley wine, filling bourbon and vanilla, toasty roast, charred wood, quite sweet with the big malty base but drying somewhat in the finish, big long finish with all the notes still present though, superb elongation of flavours into the aftertaste, booze is quite hidden for 15%. Full-bodied and thick with smooth almost creamy carbonation. Big beast of a barleywine trying to become a stout! Loved it, would be even better in a winter warmer setting though.

ABV: 15.0%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, dark malt, cake, vanilla - bourbon, dried fruit, malty - rich. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration, chocolate, dark malt, wood, vanilla - bourbon, dried fruit, cake, alcohol - mead - honey, rich and malty, tasty. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - smooth, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20190927]
