Im herrlichen Duft finden sich fruchtige Töne, sie erinnern an Zuckermelone und grüne Birne. Erfrischender Antrunk in dem ebenfalls die Fruchtnoten überwiegen; etwas Quitte und Sternfrucht. Die schöne Fülle am Gaumen begleitet uns bis in den opulent fruchtsüßen Nachtrunk.
Die lange Reifezeit (7 – 8 Wochen) macht dieses Bier besonders bekömmlich. Das Raschhofer Zwickl bleibt vollkommen unbehandelt und wird direkt vom Lagertank abgefüllt. So enthält es noch die Vitamine der Hefe. Vor dem Genuss sollte Fass gewendet bzw. die Flasche behutsam aufgeschüttelt werden.

Good, dense, ever so slightly yellowish head over clear old-golden beer with lacerings. Hay, grass, pale malts' galore, corn (with a hint at background sweetness). The sweetness is there, cornflake-like in the mouth. Very faintly earthy. Bit gristslick, very light body, medium to good carbonation. Rather dull, not much better than an international lager, despite the "Zwickl" moniker. Txs to Stef!

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dall'orzo. La finezza olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma dalla buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il liquido si presenta nuvoloso. Il colore è giallo dorato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è nella media. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, pane, cereali ed erbaceo.

Bottle. Hazy dark yellow with medium off-white head. Aroma is malt, grainy, hop, grass and straw. Flavour is malt, grainy, medium sweet, straw, grass and a little bitter.

Bottle. Color: Hazy orange golden, white head. Aroma: Grainy. Taste: Grainy, malty with a decent hoppy backbone. Light fruity hints of stone fruit and orange. Medium body, average carbonation. Moderate sweet and light bitterness. Long lasting finish. Ok.

Die Optik zeigt sich orange-golden mit einer deutlichen Trübung, welche jedoch noch einen leichten Glanz im Glas zulässt. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone zeigt kaum Konsistenz und fällt rasch in sich zusammen. Die Nase wird von getreidiger Malzaromatik und floralen bis leicht honigartigen Aromen umschmeichelt. Einfach, aber gut. Der Antrunk wirkt spritzig, in erster Linie hopfenaromatisch und herb mit leichten Malznoten. Am Gaumen gestalten sich die Aromen malzig und leicht würzig mit einer gut eingebundenen Hopfenherbe. Als durchaus gut kann man die weiche Haptik dieses Bieres benoten. Dadurch ergeben sich ein Trinkgefühl, sowie eine Süffigkeit, die absolut okay sind. Im gut anhaltenden Nachtrunk dominieren die getreidige Malzigkeit, sowie leichte Hefenoten. Mein Fazit: Ein durchaus gutes Zwickel.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from HOTM. Pours lightly unclear gold with a creamy, white head. Nice rich bready character, mellow sweetness, biscuits, low bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Bready malts to finish, biscuits, cereal, hay, a little dough. Very drinkable gear.

500mml. bottle as part of the European Local Swap 3/2018, many thanks @Sebilinz for this bottle. @home, 21/02/2020 [#3.286 Global - #47 Austria - #2 Brauerei Raschhofer] Slightly hazy yellow colour with a medium white head. Good retention. Aroma is hay, bread and slightly yeast. Taste is also bready and yeasty leading to a lively and light bitter finish. Next one please!

5,4% on the label. Bottle. Blonde, hazy. papery, slightly citric aroma. Floral soft hopbitter citrus flavor with cardboard notes. Could be much better.
