Ever since its creation in 1955, this beer is considered as “the showpiece” of the brewery Dupont on the Belgian market.
For centuries, the region where the brewery is situated, was pretty swampy, (swamp = marais (français moderne) = moëne (français ancient), so the name Moinette was linked to this “moëne region”.
In the little village of Tourpes existed also a mill and a “Cense de la Moinette”, both belonged to the Dupont dynasty. (cense = farmstead).
Originally, the name “Abbaye de la Moinette” was used for this beer, but since 1980 the name “Moinette” has become the commercial name.
Coppery blond with many fine hop aromas, the Moinette Blonde is a very refreshing beer, thanks to its subtle balance between sweet, bitter and fruity.
The selection of our yeasts gives this beer its typical aroma and taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which continues for a long time in your cellar, results in a complex taste and harmonious bouquet.

Must be one of the most drinkable 8.5% beers out there. Delicious. Nice Belgian yeast expression, wheat, bubblegum, peach, tangerine, biscuits and angel food cake. Massaging carb and velvety feel. Sweet but not quite cloying. Highly tasty.

Glas gedronken tijdens Brew @ the zoo.
Goudgeel helder bier met mooie witte schuimkraag.
Aroma van hop en kruiden.
Smaak is kruidig.
Nasmaak is hoppig.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Inoven en JoepvW op Brew@TheZoo2025. Het is een licht troebel goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma mout, kruiden en hop. De smaak is moutig zacht zoet en hoppig.

Aroma of malt, yeast, ripe fruits, spicy yeast, light hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bittersweet finish. Body is excellent, great balance. Great example of Belgian style ale.

Аромат глубокий и широкий своими оттенками. Тут пшеница, фрукты вроде манго и персика, немного алкоголя и меда. Цвет мутный, привлекательный, как мед, с белой пенкой. Вкус сильно карбонизирован, оттенки меда, легкая травянистость, цитрусовые нотки. Послевкусие цитрусовое, травянистое, и хмелевое с нотками фруктов и меда. Также ощущается пшеница на протяжение всего соития. В целом отличный золотой бельгийский эль. Единственное что местами слишком сильно чувствуется алкоголь.

Bottle from LCB, well in date. Pours a clear gold with foamy white head. Aroma of banana, stone fruits, caramel, cloves, mixed spice. Taste starts with the fruitiness, caramel-lite malt and yeast and then cloves and dry herbal bitterness comes in. Medium bodied, soft fine carbonation and not overly foamy, nice smoothness in the finish. Very nicely balanced.
