Bottle at Hops, Crewe. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small foamy white head. Yeast dominates the aroma, but there are also hints of malts and chewy sweets. Quite sweet in the mouth but these is also a little underlying sharpness. Flavours are the usual wheat suspects (yeast, banana, cloves) but coming through very strongly. Also traces of honey and crispy bread rolls). Sweetness lasts into the slightly dry finish. This is excellent – a truly classic German style wheat beer.

Happy to find this beer at Sevilla, almost impossible to find it at Lausanne. Sharing it with Mariella and family, in one bar, close to the buhaira park, Sevilla. A reference for the style, all the time good, perfumend, tasty, banana, cloves, wheat, hop, 19.02.24,

bottiglia 50 cl, bel cappello di schiuma bianco sporco pannosa persistente, colore giallo pallido torbido, al naso è intesa banana chiodi di garofano lievito agrumi, in bocca banana chiodi di garofano lievito malto note citriche di arancio, corpo rotondo, carbonazione forte, dolce e acidula, amaro leggero. Un’ottima birra. Regalata a mio papà dal vicino tedesco. Grazie 01.05.26

11.2 oz. bottle. Happy German beer day! Pours a cloudy gold color with a white head and good retention. Very good lacing. Yeasty aroma, as expected. The taste follows the nose: Yeasty flavor throughout with some light fruity esters in the finish. Better than most Hefeweizens. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness.
