500 ml bottle. Cloudy yellow gold color. Thick, white mousse-like head. Yeasty, wheat malt nose hints at clove and banana. Clean, crisp refreshing wheat grain flavor. Light notes of lemon and clove on the palate are just exquisite. Very Refreshing and quite possibly the best Bavarian Weissbier in the world.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is cloudy orange-light brown with trace sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong banana/fruity esters, with yeasty tart, mild bubblegum, clove. Taste is fruity ester/banana, clove, yeast, wheat. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with bubbly texture, average-to-lively carbonation and mix of sweet and tart, slightly dry finish. Overall, one of the true representatives of the style.

0.5l bottle. Malty taste, light banana notes. Hazy yellow color, white head. Malty taste, light banana notes, light sweet, light sour. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft to average carbonation and light sour malty finish. Very good.

Bottle. Milky yellow/orange. Firm foamy head. Lovely lacing. Aroma is full on clove, a dash of lemons and some yeast. Taste is bananas, bread, wheat and lemons. Slightly spicy. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Strong carbonation. Creamy and smooth. Very balanced. Refreshing. Great Hefeweizen.

On tap at Weihenstephaner, Hackescher Markt, Berlin. Pours cloudy yellow with a foamy, lasting, white head. The aroma contains wheat, banana, fruits and citrus. It tastes light bitter and medium fruity sweet. Fizzy carbonation, creamy texture, long finish. Can compete with the Paulaner.

0.5l bottle from hieber’s. pours a cloudy pale golden with a huge steady head. aroma of banana and cloves. flavour of apples, banana, cloves. clean, easy drinking, not too sweet and not too spicy. not sure if this is really the world’s best weizen, but it is definitely a good one.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is very fragrant with lots of banana and clove. Some faint bubblegum notes as well. Light wheat notes and no hop character. Pours a hazy, golden straw color with a large, creamy, white head that exhibits very nice retention as it very slowly recedes. Medium lacing and faint legs. Flavor is a bit sweet with some wheat notes and bread. Light bitterness. Fairly ester forward with a lot of banana and hints of bubblegum. Some lighter clove notes. No hop flavor. Esters linger well into the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high to high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice ester and phenolic forward wheat beer. Its solid, but its also not really my jam.
