Hops: Saaz (CZ), Premiant (CZ), Cascade (US), Amarillo (US)
Malts: Czech Pilsen, Bavarian, Caramel, Carapils
The first IPA brewed in Matuška Brewery combines Czech and American hops. The IPA kind of beer comes from the 19th century England. The East India Company exported beer to India, where England had its colonies, and because the beer had to survive the long trip, it was being made stronger and hoppier. Hops help protect the beer from bacteria. For our Raptor, we used a combination of Czech, English and American ingredients while using our brewing process.

750ml Bottle - Light amber with a white head. Pine, grapefruit and caramel in the aroma. Malty taste with caramel, pine, citrus and some bready and biscuity notes. Nice in an old school way but could do with more bite.

12 October 2021. At Cafe Nº 3, Prague. Cheers to the lovely Anke!
Clear golden, big, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit peel, tangerine, pine, white grape, unripe pear. Taste has sweetish pineapple & tangerine, bitter grapefruit & pine with some spices over bready maltiness. Piney hoppy finish, bit floral, bitter grapefruit. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Pretty decent.
