The first IPA brewed in Matuška Brewery combines Czech and American hops. The IPA kind of beer comes from the 19th century England. The East India Company exported beer to India, where England had its colonies, and because the beer had to survive the long trip, it was being made stronger and hoppier. Hops help protect the beer from bacteria. For our Raptor, we used a combination of Czech, English and American ingredients while using our brewing process.

Edit 8/2021. Floral, resiny, earthy in aroma. Cloudy gold body, persistant white head. Floral, resiny, earthy, malty. Very good english IPA. 0,5 l, draught, multitap pub, Prague. # 1843; 2/2020. Floral, honey. Gold, clear body. Floral, herbal, honey, slightly alcohol. Very good, sweeter IPA. 0,3 l, draught, multitap bar, Prague. 7-3-7-3-13

Tmavsi zlatava zakalena barva, bohata, celkem trvanliva pena. Vune chmelova. Chut trochu sladova, trochu ipovite horka, je citit ipovita borovice, i citrusy. Vyssi stredni horkost. Stredne plne telo. Vse v pekne pitelnem celku. Od vseho neco - ovoce, citrusy, borovice, karamel. Vyssi stredni plnost.

Bottle. Golden amber colour, frothy thick off-white head. Aroma is nice earthy hops, fruity too. Taste is very nice, not as bitter as expected, very nice hoppiness though, not a citrusy thing though, but bit of lemon. Nice maltiness, biscuity, and touch of sweetness. Really different from how I expected but really nice.

Tons of tangerine and pears in the nose. Very clean. Medium full body, a touch of butter popcorn. A touc sweet but fairly clean. Nice stuff

Pours medium hazy golden colour, topped with larger foamy white head, pretty stable. Pleasant fruity nose with citruses and tropical fruits. Moderate bitterness, somewhat grassy with some fruitiness. Herbal aftertaste. Lighter body. Typical IPA, decently drinkable.

Nagy, tartós hab, félbarna szín. Fűszeres, virágos illat. Fűszeres, enyhén fenyős ízek, némi barackkal és leheletnyi déligyümölcsös beütéssel. Könnyű, közepesen szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Kellemes, jól csúszó, visszafogott IPA.

hazy golden colour, huge, dense off-white head; aroma of grapefruit, overripe, almost rotten tropical fruity and marmalade notes, some grapeseed and pine resins, as well as hints of earthyness; taste has the very same notes with some biscuits, celery notes and hints of sauerkraut; excellent IPA

Draft at Pivnice U Sadu, Prague. Pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma and flavors of tropical fruit, caramel, bread, tangerine, pine, floral notes. Good stuff.
