Hops: Saaz (CZ), Premiant (CZ), Cascade (US), Amarillo (US)
Malts: Czech Pilsen, Bavarian, Caramel, Carapils
The first IPA brewed in Matuška Brewery combines Czech and American hops. The IPA kind of beer comes from the 19th century England. The East India Company exported beer to India, where England had its colonies, and because the beer had to survive the long trip, it was being made stronger and hoppier. Hops help protect the beer from bacteria. For our Raptor, we used a combination of Czech, English and American ingredients while using our brewing process.

Tap at Zlý ?asy. Golden color with white head. Aroma is lychee, tropical fruits. Taste is fruity, a bit residual sweetness, oily mouthfeel. Medium bitter, refreshing finish. Ticklish fine-bubbled carbonation. Very good!

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Might be a bit too old, best before [in 3 weeks]. Nicely flowery, but also some onion and butter. Unbalanced.

Bottle courtesy of Ryan, shared in Serbia with friends. Grazie Ryan :-) Pours a light amber semi-clear color, tick off-white foamy head with retention. Nose: caramel-amber orientation, herbal hops, BBQ. Mouth: smoky feel, chicory with a sweet malty accent. A bit old perhaps? Not flaws but not terrific as well.
