Suomalaiseksi olutklassikoksi muodostunut Plevnan lippulaiva on irlantilais-tyyppinen dry stout. Oluessa kermainen vaahto ja täyteläinen maku. Stoutin ystävän unelma.

Draught (Villi Wäino, Helsinki) - Black in colour with a foamy tan head. Slightly soapy and herby aroma with roasted malt. Rather interesting and slightly perfumed taste with a light hint of ginger. Coffee and plain chocolate accompany the roasted malt notes and complement them well. Some hoppy notes can also be detected. Not the most traditional stout that I have had but none the worse for it.

(Draught at Oluthuone Panimomestari, Tampere, on 2008-08-08) Black. Big brown head. Chocolate and roasted malts in nose. Full-bodied and dry palate. Sweetness, roastedness, almost burnt flavours, bitterness and chocolate in taste. Very long aftertaste that turns more and more bitter. Really nice dry stout.

Almost black in colour. Low brownish head. Roasted malt aroma. Sharp coffee taste with a nice bitter touch. Lingering aftertaste and full mouthfeel (250ml draught at the great Plevna brewpub 06.10.2006).

Draught. Black opaque, big brown bubbly/foamy head, lacing. Sweet roasted malt in aroma. Sweet caramel, licorace and roasty bitterness mixed. Bittersweet fruitish and roasty aftertaste. Also some smoke is present in flavour all the way through. OK stout, but a bit too sweet for my taste...

Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki. Very black with beige creamy head. Lemony licorice aroma. Full bodied with thick, compact oily mouthfeel. Lots of flavours, like coffee and molasses, but lemon and licorice dominates. Really sweet with salty finish. A little too sweet to be well balanced.

Draught at Plevna Brewery Pub
Almost opaque. Steady dark brown head. Alcoholic and hoppy aroma. Taste is hoppy and warming. This is actually "dry stout": not so smooth palate as Guinness has but so dry either.Long bitter hoppy finish plus some sweet tones in aftertaste. (7/5/8/5/16 4.1)
Re-rated, draught @Plevna
Full. Roasted, hoppy, sweet, lots of chocolate and licorice. Rich. (7/5/9/5/18 4.4)
