0,75L bottle at the overpriced beer tasting, thanks for sharing guys! Pours dark brown with light brown head. The head stay for some moments. Aroma is malt, dark chocolate, fruits. Flavor is very sweet, malty, caramel, raisins, some alcohol. Overall: great brew.

750ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Dark red brown color with dark beige head. Malty aroma, dark fruits, caramel. Sweet taste malty caramel,, butter, light fruity. Medium to full body, oily with soft carbonation.

Bottle at home. Pours almost black, nose is peat, caramel, berries, dark fruit, taste is dry toffee, rich caramel, fruity, peat.

A dark brown beer with a dense, medium and beige head. The nose is rich and it has strong dried fruits, raisins and dates, berries, strawberries, madeira wine, some alcohol and cold peppermint, hint of roastiness. Very complex aroma that is fresh despites of the richness. Taste has rich maltyness, dried fruits, raisins, strawberries, some dryer roastiness and bread. Medium bitterness dries the taste nicely. No alcohol. Almost full bodied, some carbonation, not too heavy. A very complex and rich flavours, powerfull, fresh anyway.

30/VIII/14 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) if I remember correctly, been in my beer fridge for a while @ Cybu's veggie burger cook-off, paired with my wife's caramel pecan pie - BB: n/a (2014-959)

Little cloudy red brown to purple beer, small beige creamy head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, ripe banana, sweet, little oxidized, dried fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, caramel, some banana, bi tof dark chocolate, soft sour notes. Aftertaste: mocha, roasted stuff, caramel, cocoa powder, soft bitterness, overripe banana, bitter chocolate.

750 ml bottle into snifter; no bottle dating, but has a store price tag dated 11/2/2012. Pours nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big raisin, prune, fig, cherry, caramel, toffee, toast, molasses, brown bread, nuttiness, chocolate, cocoa, light smoke, leather, tobacco, herbal, and toast/yeast earthiness. Incredible complexity and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and fruity yeast ester notes; with great strength. Taste of big raisin, prune, fig, cherry, caramel, toffee, toast, molasses, brown bread, chocolate, cocoa, smoke, leather, tobacco, herbal, and roast/yeast earthiness. Minimal earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, prune, fig, cherry, caramel, toffee, toast, molasses, brown bread, chocolate, cocoa, smoke, leather, tobacco, herbal, and roast/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity and robustness of dark/roast/bready malt and fruity/earthy yeast ester flavors; with an awesome malt/yeast balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full bodied; with a smooth, creamy, and moderately slick/bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an absolutely incredible Scotch ale! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and moderate fruity yeast ester flavors; and extremely smooth to sip on for the big ABV. An extremely amazing offering.
