Hopfenreiter 2018 - Double IPA

Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is apricot lychee grassiness honey biscuit dough. Taste is sweet syrupy malt with some slight hop burn bitterness. Still ok balanced. Grassy fruity finish. Quite pleasant.

0.33 l bottle from 'Flaschenfreund', best before November 2018. Clear, dark amber with a large, dense, slightly creamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, quite fruity, moderately resiny and slightly grassy aroma of mango, tangerine, orange and some pine. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, fruity, moderately resiny and slightly grassy taste of orange jam, mango puree, tangerine, strawberry, some pine and a touch of honey, followed by a short, medium bitter, quite resiny and slightly herbal-grassy finish. Medium to full body, creamy and just slightly effervescent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. A bit too sweet, could be fresher and drier, it's tasty and well-drinkable nevertheless.

Süß fruchtiger, leicht brotiger Geruch. Süß hopfiger, erkennbar alkoholischer Antrunk. Trocken herber Hintergrund, der Hopfen bleibt zwar im Vordergrund, büßt aber an Frische ein. Würziger Nachgeschmack, zum Ende zu süß. 8/9/9/8/13/10

330ml bottle from Getränke Oase, Munich. BBE 20.11.2018. Pours clear orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of caramely malts, grassy hops, herbal notes, pine, citrus, tropical fruits and hay. Taste is crisp, fresh hoppy, caramely malty and herbal with some pine, grass, citrus, tropical fruits and hay. Finish is lingering bitter, hoppy and grassy with some pine, caramely malts, citrus, fruits and tropical notes. Fresh DIPA with a bit unbalanced hop profile.
