2 July 2022. At Dok Brewing Festival. Cheers to Anke, Eugène & Evelien!

Hazy red, frothy pink head. Aroma of beetroot, red apple, cooked rhubarb, redcurrant. Taste has sour red berries, sweetish red apple & earthy beetroot. Tart, red-fruity finish, light earthy hops and lingering beetroot. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Pleasant surprise!

21/VII/22 - on tap, shared @ DOK Brewing Company (Gent), BB: n/a (2022-906)

Clear deep ruby red beer, small creamy pink head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: lots of beetroot, earthy, nice, just beetroot though, not much else going on. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: gentle sourness, lots and lots of beetroot all right! Earthy, good beetroot flavour, slightly sweet. Aftertaste: very dry, a nice acidity, earthy, lots of beetroot, good one but not super. I have to admit I do like beetroot beers.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, purple colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark pink head. Earthy, veggie, beetroot aroma, widely disguised, malty, minimally strawy background, whiffs of cherry. Taste is tart, earthy, veggie, notes of beetroot with subtle, residual sweetness, citrusy hoppy hints of lemon and orange, a touch of morello. Minimally creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well balanced, not too earthy due to the citrusy counterpart, not too sour neither, well crafted; if you don't hate beetroot anyway you should appreciate this. Freaky but good!
