Tap at CBC 2013. Pours black with a thick brown head. Aroma is roasty, dark chocolate, molasses, coffee, cocoa and dark fruits, with the apple brandy working vey nicely alongside the other aspects. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, tart apples and hints of wood and oak. Taste is sweet and roasty with some tart apple notes, hints of wood and oak. Finish is sticky and roasty with some sweetness and tartness. A bit unbalanced, the tart apple notes don’t quite fit in.
