Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of blackcurrant, roasty malts, licorice, and ash. Taste is heavy with loads of tartish blackcurrant juice, berries, roastiness, licorice and ash. Finish is sweetish and heavy with loads of blackcurrants and berries. Interesting, but a bit unbalanced. Too much berries here.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (Nøgne Ø Takeover 24/06/2015) - pours dark brown to black with a beige head. Aroma and taste is malt and dark fruits, goes from roasted initial open to sour with prominent blackcurrant and chocolate, tart berry with some wooden notes, pretty challenging and different brew this. Not sure on this one.

At taphouse very dark brown small light brown head . Powerful aroma of roasted malts and dark dried fruits. The aroma is simple but Very very nice one of the most pleasing quad aromas I have sampled in quite some time. I know this is not a quad but... Belgium go home quad aroma. Flavor is dried purple fruits plums and a little too much fruity bitterness, passion fruit perhaps. Flavor is a bit too wild but I do look forward to reading up on wtf this is

Bottle @ DØE Kissmeyer tasting. Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, light sourness, light chocolate, berries, black currant, woodnotes. Flavor is light sweet, malty, tart berries, rich black currant, wood, alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation, tart berry finish. The huge amount of black currant is overpowering, and this is somewhat hard to drink. 170615

Bottled@fonefan. Golden colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is glue, sour wood and at the same time liquorice, some spices, alcohol and stuff. Flavour is red wine, sour wood, mild alcohol, liquorice, spices, sweet malts and toffee. This gets quite messy by just having too much of everything as for the elements. Good idea, but the finishing failed a bit.

Bottle - Cocoa, caramel and some soured fruit. Dirty reddish brown with a light brown head. Cherry, cocoa and nice sweet sourness. Cherry chocolate cake. I like it.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of pitted dark fruits, toasted malt and some earthy notes - unusual nose. Flavour is quite nice, with lots of tart black currants, some earthy notes, and alcohol. Very fruity and appropriately sour. Very viscous palate. Wonderful stuff. I enjoyed this a lot more than the average rating.

Bottle from Bierkompass, bought in March 2015. Black with a small tan head. An interesting aroma of blackcurrant, roasted malt, light licorice and some alcohol. The taste was similar. The body was medium and the finish fairly tart. I kind of liked this one.
