Tap @ Taphouse, Copenhagen. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, berries and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet, rather bitter and moderate acidic. Dry, rather bitter and moderate acidic finish. 300415

Fast schwarzes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen hell bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch alkoholisch röstmalzig, reife dunkle Früchte, leicht säuerlich. Geschmack säuerlich fruchtig, dunkle Früchte, etwas Holz, alkoholisch, schwer zu trinken.

Huge cream to brown head over nearly black brown beer. First a bit of roasted/burnt grains, then lots of fruit - obviously berries. Fruity and roasted, with an adorable sourish edge, reinforcing the classical stout acidity, but lending it an infinitely more complex fruity depth. Blackcurrant ice cream. (Fruit)slick, slightly oily, modest alcoholburn, oozing richness. This is better than French kissing!

Bouteille 50cl, batch#1273, brewed 23/09/2014. Brune foncée, col épais crémeux tirant vers le café au lait, et laissant un doré huileux sur le verre. Arôme au bouquet intéressant de cassis bien prononcé. On y retrouve tout le caractère de ce fruit et un rétro suret ponctué par un malt foncé. Palais indique une forte présence de cassis. Tout simplement bien restitué sans tomber dans le faux jus. Ici, on ressent une certaine épaisseur au palais qui est accentuée par les 11% de cette bière. Malté pâle, caramel avec une pointe de chocolat. La texture et le profil suret du cassis se prête parfaitement à cette bière aux tonalités maltées.

Tasted from tap the 15/03/2015 on the Barcelona Beer Fest. Purple black with a tiny white head. Aroma of berries, malts and grain. Taste has black currants, licorice and dark fruits. Aftertaste is very fruity and sweet. Next one please!

Tap@ ölhus Copenhavn. Almost black, thick espresso head. Pours black with a thin, but lasting light brown head. Aroma has blueberries, blackcurrant juice, medicine notes. Flavor has blackcurrant, licorice, dark fruits. Full bodied,. Very tasty stuff. Love blackcurrant and this is hitting my soft spot.

0,5L bottle (from Koht, Tallinn). Pours dark brown without head. Aroma is blackcurrant, malt, metallic notes. Flavor is sour, blackcurrant, malt. Finish is more black currant. Alcohol is very well covered. Overall: weird one, but I don’t hate it.

Draught @ Ølhus København. Aroma has sweet berry juice and licorice in the background. Also hints of fruit candy and marie biscuits. Flavour is rather tart and red wine -like with lingonberries, cranberries and some licorice. Too close to red wine and oud bruin for my liking. Not bad still.

Bottle @ RBBWG 2015. Opaque dark brown color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, red fruits, roast, sour-bitter. Doesn’t really blend together that well imo.
