On tap @ Kick. Pretty clear, dark amber with almost no head. Aroma has dark malt, dry fruit, hint of chocolate and blackcurrant. Flavor is sweet malt, dark berries (more obvious blackberry when beer getting a bit warmer), hint of chocolate, some sour berries, moderate bitterness and warming alcohol. Alcohol is actually very well hidden; it’s more like a warming vinous feeling. Fine body and smooth aftertaste. Not to impressive at the beginning, but seems to need some temperature. Quite nice sipper after a while. Looking forward to try this from bottle, have a feeling this might need some storage.

Bottle. It pours a dark brown body under a small, dense, dark beige to light tan head. The aroma is roasted, with molassess, coffee, some booze, a touch of blackcurrant and some chocolate. The flavor has a berry sourness, with roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and some booze. Nice sweetness and alcohol. A fine bitterness chiming in too, leading to a sour berry finish with roasted malts and alcohol warmth. Full body and a little warmth. Pleasant carbonation. Guess it needs a couple of months of cellaring, it feels too boozy right now. 141201

11.12.2014, 0,5l bottle shared @ Café Sara:
Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of sour-ish dry, sorrel, coffee, licorice, berry skin, minerals, dark malts, dark sugar, ashtray, grass, dark berries. Taste is sour-ish dry, sorrel, sour coffee, oak, berry skin, minerals, licorice, ashtray, grass, burnt caramel, dark berries. Medium bitterness, dry sour-ish mouthfeel. Not really my cup of tea, but still kind of interesting...
