(Bottle, De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 24 Feb 2017) Reddish amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with dried fruit, caramel and treacle toffee. Malty, fruity taste with notes of apricots, red fruit, caramel and a slightly vinous, spicy finish with a light acidity. Full body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and warming with some alcohol shining through. Nice one.

Schwerer, alkoholisch süßer Antrunk in dem das brotige Malz erst einmal im Hintergrund steht. Moderat würzig, zuckrig. Schädelbier. 9/8/7/7//8

Tap. Ruby color with eggshell head. Aroma is bubblegum, spicy, toffee. Taste is more toffee, a bit estery, slightly boozy in the back. Feels heavy, quite a head crusher. Nice enough.

Thank you for sharing people! Sampled bottled @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Deep red amber, solid tanned head. Nose is weird plants, vegetables & spoiled malts. Taste is spoiled moldy red fruits, herbs, sugar, old malts & plants. Weird messy & milky body. I quite liked the Grand Cru version but this one is an odd mess at best for me. I have no idea what happened here. Maybe a bad bottle?
