New rating: Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Clear, dark amber with a white to tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly spicy aroma of caramel, nuts, brown sugar, licorice root and clove. Sweetish-malty, slightly spicy taste of caramel, nuts, honey, licorice root and clove, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Nice! (7/4/6/4/13/3.4)Old rating: From bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2016. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, brown sugar and nuts. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, brown sugar, honey and nuts, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, flat. Very nice! Bottle sampled at PINT Winterbier festival Gouda 2016. Dark amber with creme head. Smooth caramels, toffee, biscuits. Medium sweet, light bitter. Mineral texture, medium body and light carbonation.

Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2016. Gedeeld met de ratebeer clan! bruin/amber met beperkte witte kraag. aroma van graan, alcohol, caramel, rozijn en iets rood fruit, weeïge mout.Smaken zijn redelijk zoet, alcoholisch, licht bitter, rozijn/vijg, caramel, matige/redelijke zachte body met lage co2 en olieachtige textuur. ok

Bottle at THT thanks to deanso. Clear amber with small off white head. Sweet malts, milk chocolate, dried figs, old stale spices, caramel. Quite sweet with soft bitter finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty nice.

Bottle sampled thanks to Deanso. Pours very hazy amber brown with some floaters and a ring tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, overripe dark fruit and toffee. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ Stadsbrouwerij De Hemel. Nice ruby red colored beer with an average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweet grains, sweet alcohol, lightly floral. A bitter hint in the finish. Decent body and carbonation. A bit alcoholic imo but not bad.

Amber colored beer, with almost no head. Tastes sweet and malty, with some fruits.

25/02/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Colore arancio vivo, con un filo di schiuma bianca poco persistente. Aroma dolce di malto, caramellato, frutta matura, alcol (non invadente). In bocca è dolce, fruttata e caramellata, con un finale lievemente amarognolo, nel complesso discretamente equilibrata. Note alcoliche un po’ più evidenti. Bel corpo, consistenza oleosa, quasi piatta. Ok.
