An Imperial Blonde Ale or Blonde Barley Wine; Helldorado has the lightest color of any of the beers in our barrel program but carries a great deal of interesting barrel character: vanilla, light char and amazing lavender-honey notes. Rich boozy honey liqueur character and loads of smooth sweet toasted malt to finish. The El Dorado hops dance in the background without playing a dominant role in the flavor profile. This beer gets better and better the longer it is in barrel.

On tap at PreFunk. Wow, first impression, first sip, socks knocked off. Heavy vanilla, sweet, slick, sticky, burn. Dull pour made up for in aroma and taste. Total alcohol bomb, but tasty. Will have to see how this ages. AAA+++ 2015 vin5age on 8/2419

Draft at Churchkey’s "Firestone Walker Full Portfolio Release Party" event. Poured a hazy golden yellow color, small white head. Very smooth, sweet candy toffee notes, notes of light brittle. Light vanilla, some golden raisins. Sweet malts. Smooth, no alcohol burn, but lots of warming sensations in the belly. Solid.

This is a lot more tempered then some of their other big beers. Still a pretty large barrel aroma here, with some light citrus and something like plum. Pours golden amber with ok head and lacing. Light sweet finish with a hint of bitterness. Tap at Churchkey.

On tap at Freshcraft. Pours a honey gold with some white head. Nose is honey comb, booze, agave, malt, mead. Flavor is very sweet but gobs of honey, booze, earthy, agave. Boozy finish. Almost a braggot there’s so much honey to it.

On tap. Pours with a massive white head over a hazy blonde-yellow hued body. Aromas are spicy, toasted oak, vanilla, marshmallow, light hops, grainy, bready, biscuity and malty. Flavors are fruity, calvados like, sulfur, bitter, grainy, fruit, barrel and some crazy oak tannins and vanilla. Fuller carbonation, low body for the ABV.
