Bottle shared at a tasting at Zvika’s place. Hazy red with light orange hues. Pleasant funky aroma with barnyard, berries, some sweaty notes and oak. Pleasant sour flavor with oak, berries, barnyard, and a light spicy note in the finish. Medium-bodied, rounded mouthfeel. Great stuff, very tasty and easy-drinking.

Bottle from 2010. Aroma is surprisingly on point for a lambic. Lots of nice horse blanket character with light acetic acidity and moderate lactic notes. Slightly sweet and fruity with medium light oak notes. Pours a nice copper color with some nice red notes to it. Thin, slightly white head that has no retention and slightly lingers on the edges. Fairly acidic upfront with a light sweetness. Some fruitiness and light malt character. Horse blanket funk is less than in the aroma. Acidity is fairly complex, but not as clean and citrusy as I would like. Medium oak notes. Finish isn’t as nice as I would prefer from a true lambic. This reminds me a bit more of Iris than a wheat based lambic. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low acidic astringency with low alcohol warmth. Overall a surprisingly nice and authentic version of a fruit lambic from Norway. The fruit is surprisingly light and more of a background note. The barnyard character and oak are fairly on point, but the acidity is a touch off.

500ml bottle. Wonderful, clear ruby red colour with small, frothy, fading, off-white head. Tart, dry, fruity aroma has notes of red currant, lingonberry, plum, a touch of leather and oak, spicy, yeasty overtones. Taste is dry fruity, minimally sweet, minimally tart, notes of sour cherries, red currant, hints of oak and vanilla, spicy, minimally peppery yeasty notes; lasting dry finish with hints of fruit parings. Really nice.

A nice colour, reddish brown, a head is lazy and blond. The nose is strongly berry, northern cranberries, some vinegar sourness and earthyness. Taste of sour berries, medium sour, lingonberries and some barrel. Medium bodied, low carbonation, and slightly sticky to drink. The strongly berry, that is great, but the best sophistication is missing, as this, too juicy like.

Tydlig lambicdoft. Lambicsmaker, trä, syrliga äpplen, stall, men också tranbär, vinbär, skog, lite mjölig känsla in munnen, precis som tranbär kan kännas, snäll syra som ger stor plats åt bären. Riktigt god!

This brew pours a hazy reddish-orange color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, yeast and oak. Medium body with a moderately sour fruit character and notes of earthy yeast and berries. The finish is fruity with a lingering tart cherry/berry aftertaste. Above average overall.

50cl bottle from Alvinne biershop, bottled on 30/06/2011.
