25th April 2015
Lightly hazy amber beer, a few short lived pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is light, dry and crisp. Sour start, some balsamic vinegar and a Flemish Red character. Mild lemon acid. Trace of smoke on the back end. Light crisp finish. More vinegar and acid on the linger. A bit on the sharp side for my tastes.

Gylden brun klar uten særlig skum. Lukter eik, vanilje og noe sitrussødme. Mild start, vanilje og eikesmaken kjennes godt. Sur, syrlig. Ganske kort. Lillestrøm ølfestival - Klimt

Bottle at home, purchased at Etre. It pours lightly hazy deep orange with a quickly dispiriting head. The nose is funky, earthy, barnyard, manure, dirt, oak, light vanilla and some tart red berry. The taste is earthy, funky, rather tart, lactic acid, tart red berry (particularly redcurrant), tangerine, wood, dirt, barnyard and must with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A good deal of manure kicking about, Works pretty well though...

Those crazy Danish. The description talks about Lingonberry, though the bottle lists cranberry. Are those IKEA devils selling me fancy jam that’s the same cranberries the Indians are growning a couple hours up the road? And what is kornmalt? Google translate gives me cereal malt which says a lot of nothing. My sad "English is king" attitude thinks it’s corn malt, but really that’s just me just translating by yelling the word slowly and expecting someone to understand. Sigh. What I do know is that I loooooove this beer. They nailed the sour balance on this right off. 500ml bottle pours a cloudy reddish brown, then the second pour delivers a brownish red, with a decent amount of bits floating in the mix. Head? This beer don’t need no stinking head. Nose of sweetness and sour currents and red wine. The taste is lovely sourness, that isn’t overwhelming, caramel malts, mild fruits with a smooth finish. Nice. And did I get it Ontario? LCB-nO! Great beer, can’t get it here. Premier Gourmet Group buffalo.

Bastante buena.

Red amber colour. Very good beer. Complex, sour notes. Some light sweetness. Very fruity with hints of berries.

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff okt-13: lett og elegant, sklir rett ned. Må ha en slurk og to til. En god surøl for noviser som meg.

Rerate. Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 07.10.13. Dark, clear golden. Small white head. Fine aroma of malt and Belgian brett. Similar taste. Rather good and refreshing, with sour and dry aftertaste. Still quite neutral - but good! Mi2 at Cardinal 07.10.13. Sour aroma and taste, as expected. A good sour beer, but perhaps too neutral and lacking personality. [7/3/6/3/13=3,2]
