(Can) very hazy, bright orange colour with a tall beige head; aroma of milk chocolate; smooth palate; balanced if unexceptional flavour with a long, light bitter sweet finish. Disappointing.

Bright golden with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. Sweet with strong bourbon, caramel and honey notes. Medium finish. Moderately full bodied.

VERY light on any sort of flavor. Honestly tastes closer to a lager than a white stout. I’m disappointed in this one given its reputation.

backlog. Hazy gold pour. Mild, malty aroma with a little caramel and chocolate. The flavor is sweet and malty with some cocoa and vanilla. There's little to no bourbon or oak to be found. Okay, I guess, but it's underwhelming.

On draught at Evergreen Resort outside Yosemite. A nice experience with the family adds a few points here, and the white stouts are still interesting to me.

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.
12 oz. can. 6% ABV.
AROMA: Sweet with subtle scents of cream, vanilla, banana, and caramel. There is nothing overpowering in the aroma. So slow, light, inhalation is the only way to detect the various, mild scents. NOTE: The scents become a little more prevalent as the beer warms to room temperature.
APPEARANCE: Pours a hazy brownish-orange with a medium, tight, head that dissipates slowly and has almost no lacing. Looking at it, it kind of reminds me of a heffeweizen, except slightly-darker.
TASTE: It has kind of a soft bitterness with no sweetness at all. Which I found somewhat surprising given the sweetish aroma. While I wouldn't say it is a strong flavor, I do predominantly get, bourbon followed by vanilla and a hint of cocoa. Every now and then I get a hint of banana too, but not every time. So there is something that is tricking my taste buds.
MOUTHFEEL: Full-bodied with a smooth texture and a fair amount of carbonation.
OVERALL: A solid beer that is well-crafted with nice flavor, aroma, and body. I'm on the fence about the carbonation level, as I feel like a little less carbonation would make things better. But I can't really say for sure, that it would.
