Photon is our light and crushable American Pale Ale loaded with pacific northwest hops. It pours a very hazy orange, releasing well-blended notes of apricot, tangerine, peach, mango, and pineapple. It tastes of soft juicy tropical fruits, hop resins, and a hint of biscuit. A smooth rounded bitterness with a touch of dryness ensures you’re ready for the next sip. This drinking experience is further enhanced with a soft and billowy mouth-feel that has made this the go to ale for the Equilibrium crew, especially when a productive day needs to follow a fun night.

16 oz. can, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a large white head. Aroma is full of tropical fruit, piney hops, and a bit of citrus zest. Flavour is fairly fresh for the age, with citrus hops, some pine, light floral notes, and fresh tropical fruit. Not much residual sweetness, finishing quite dry and wheaty. Very good.

Pint can at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Strangely enough, I drank this beer immediately following a can of the Particle Physics and both beers tasted the same, despite the slightly lower ABV. A quick scan of the commercial description proves they are virtually identical and apparently both beers are the “go to” pale ale for the crew at Equilibrium! Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a lasting frothy white head. Lots of mango and pineapple in the aroma. The flavour is moderate bitter sweet, with a crisp, juicy citrus, light dry hop bitter palate. The younger brother of Particle Physics, but still a great beer.

473ml can. Hazy, deep yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, frithy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, white head. Rich and intense, piney, grassy and tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, sweet-ish, wheaty malty background, notes of peach and apricot, mango, passion fruit, fresh hay, pineapple, pine needles, mandarine. Taste is slightly dry, minimally tart-ish, piney and tropical fruity, minimally grassy hoppy, notes of passion fruit and mango, hints of peach and apricot, a touch of guava, fresh hay, pine needles, mandarine, sweet-ish, minimally watery, wheaty malty basis. Mushy-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, foamy, minimalyl prickly carbonation. Rich and complex, highly drinkable, the light body shines through here and there - very, very good.

Quarantine Beer #105 sampled at home on 05/02/2020. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Sticky strings of lace. Herbal hop, tropical fruit and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and stone fruits, and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
