Cosmic IPA

Space Camper Cosmic IPA is an exhilarating initiation into a mind-bending alternate universe of India Pale Ales. Our brewers employ massive hop additions at the end of the boil, and during fermentation, to minimize upfront bitterness and create a juicy IPA bursting with tropical fruit flavors and aromas of nectar and citrus.

12 ounce can. Pours a fairly hazy orange hue with a small white head. A light husky lemon nose. Rich, lemons, a bit tropical, tart wheat base. Solid. Very light.

Hazy orange pour, aroma of citrus hops and malt. It tastes citrusy with sweet malt and moderate hops bitterness. Medium bodied. Pretty good though it’s a little weeter than I prefer.

12 oz. can from a sampler pack. Pours a kinda hazy, yellow color, with a big, foamy, white head. Lots of floaters. The nose is orange, spruce tips, coriander, and toast. Sweet and juicy, with a pretty mellow, dank bitterness. Light to medium body, with a crisp, clean feel. This is a well made IPA, but nothing special.

12 oz. Aroma is cantaloupe, citrus peel, Fun Dip stix, floral, light pine. Pours hazy golden with a one finger bone-white head that collapses quickly into a ring. Taste is lightly sweet, faintly bitter with clean hop flavors slightly citrusy, slightly tropical, lightly piney. Crisp, clean and refreshing.

Pour is a cloudy with a large white head. Aroma is some pithy resin hop and not much else. Flavor is some fruit rind hops and a chalky malt finish. This was very weak for an IPA. Pale ale i could see it but as an IPA this had very little hops and a dry malty backbone that took away any bitterness. The canned on date is 9/4/19 but this is drinking like it is much older.

I'm serious, I'm so fricken sick of IPA. Everybody told me my palate had to mature to like IPA. I tell you; you are so immature for following the fad. I almost want to give up ticking beers here, but I know there are many sours, witbier, berliner and wild to be found, which are pure and are not bastardized by the IPA style.....there you have it. There are absolutely a brazillion IPA out there that taste exactly the same. Bitter, nasty rude ass in yer face impact. And, that's what this is; a big juicy mouthcoating stupid ass hop blundering blast. Let me think; I see & feel a jumbo jetliner of hops yet, it does not set me free; f-off! Git widdit; If I drink an IPA, it better be a big alky content bombardier to make me forget about the bitterness, and this does not. Sick of it. IPA that is. Go figger. You think craft beer will ever turn into what it once was: Special? Did I smell weed? Just asking mah-fah. I am indifferent to its hazy pale color and stupid straight up canyon ass ipa nose.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2019. Pours a cloudy earthy orange gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dank onion, dank citrus, light marijuana with some pine underlying. Flavor has dank citrus, marijuana and a bit of grassy pine finish.
