Cosmic IPA

Space Camper Cosmic IPA is an exhilarating initiation into a mind-bending alternate universe of India Pale Ales. 12 oz bottle purchased as part of a seasonal Boulevard mix pack. L022519 Bottled on February 25, 2019. The pour is a slight haze golden yellow with a foamy well formed 2 inch white head. The aroma is soft citrus, floral, and a bit of spice. The taste is clean hop flavors of orange lemon citrus, floral, and bit of earth pine towards the back. Nice clean biscuit malt in the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied with clean floral finish. Tasty.

12oz can into a Duvel glass on 30th March 2019 while in California. Mini haze to the golden body, wispy white head. Tropical/citrus fruit esters in the nose, taste also along the same lines with a light bitterness and mild sweetness combining nicely to give a balanced and interesting IPA without blowing your head off with hops.

The Aromas are Citrus, celery and cracker. Flavors are Citrus, bittersweet and a little medicinal in the Finish. Okay body and carbonation. Kind of run of the mill beer. Update: much better this time around. No medicinal. Good balance fresh hops lean towards Pine resin. Great body and finish. Edit... hazy lots of grapefruit and low bitter. A little booze in the Finish. Tasty. Next update: Much milder than before. Drinkable but nothing I would seek out.

Quite hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall off-white head that shows some very large bubbles. Aroma of grass and super dank hops with a lot of citrus, pine and resin with some lighter malts and a touch of sweetness from fruit noticeable in the nose. Medium-bodied; Super dank and fruity hops at first with a big bitterness and also showing a nice sweetness from all the fruity flavours and showing a touch of malt in the backbone to balance things out nicely. Aftertaste shows a nice clean and bitter hop note with some softer and more subtle fruits and sweetness with a great balance from the malts that leave things nice and balanced. Overall, a nice and robust hazy and juicy IPA that shows tons of flavours, but still leaves things quite nice and easy-going. Great to sample and well worth grabbing if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Hy-Vee in Papillion (Omaha), Nebraska for US$1,99 on 11-February-2019, sampled in my hotel room here in Omaha, Nebraska on 12-February-2019.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish orange gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Pineapple, melon and light citrus and grassy hop aromas. Smooth with good texture on the palate, not juicy, but a little softer carbonation than usual. Nice prickly bitterness - pith, dank and light pine. Well-balanced and easy drinking. Prickly pineapple and dank pine on the finish.
